Children love to be outdoors, getting muddy, being creative and having fun in the natural environment. Willow Banks Forest School is an exciting place to allow your child a day of exploration and freedom from devices in the great outdoors learning new skills and making new friends! Our Holiday Clubs are here to provide an awesome setting for some fantastic fun! Our new dates, times & prices for are below!
Each day is packed full of outdoor activities, arts and crafts, green woodworking, gardening in our polytunnel and garden, games and cooking over an open fire. The sessions are guided by our fully trained forest school practitioners. So wether it's building dens, playing in the mud kitchen, toasting marshmallows or freeplay in the woodland, we are sure to provide something your child will love.
We welcome children from 5 -16 years old for holiday club.
We pride ourselves in caring for all children visiting us including children with a wide variety of needs, including those with specific special needs!
The cost for a full day, 9:00am-3:00pm is £30, siblings attending the same full day are £20.
The cost of a half day session, 9:00am-12:00pm or 12:00pm-3:00pm is £20, there is no sibling discount for half day session. Late charge in effect for any child not collected by 3:00pm.

We will tailor make sessions that are safe and secure for your children and ensure these match their age group and ability. We endevour to be an inclusive forest school and this includes holiday club. We welcome students with SEN and disabilities, we provide an all access woodland and classroom space.
Activities may include mud kitchen, basic exploration and construction, whittling and woodcraft skills, shelter building, bug hunting, tree and fauna identification, using natural resources, knot tying skills, bush craft, cookery, fire lighting skills, nature detectives, archery and a wealth of other stimulating activities.
Having the highest standards and keeping your children safe is vital to us and all our staff are fully trained in the skills required. We will staff at a minimum of 1:6, usually staffing at 1:4 for those under 8 years of age. The Forest School Leader is Level 3 qualified and First Aid Trained. All our staff are DBS checked. All policies are available upon request and we are insured with Birnbeck Insurance Services.
A holiday club that provides an opportunity for children and young people who love outdoor adventure to explore in a creative and inspirational way; to achieve, and develop confidence and self-esteem through hands-on learning experiences in a local woodland environment.
Notably recent investigation by the Forestry Commission has noted the health benefits to children being outdoors and engaging with nature.
